Thick Mud
This evening, I had an encounter with some thick mud. It started by checking the calves to see if there was any sick ones; no sick ones. So I decided to return to the barn to drop off the cat food that I had recently filled, when the patch of mud caught my eye. The spot had been where we started to dig a pond but water filled it before it be completely finished. The pond was not but about a foot deep but the depth was not a factor to me. As I was approaching the pond, I could see that the pond was drying up by the cracks on top, so I decided to give it a try. I put that Rancher in third gear, with 27" Mudbugs on the rear, and hit it going about 10mph when I stopped suddenly. Right then I knew I was stuck good and those Bugs weren't going to get me out. I called to house to see if someone could rescue me; here comes RunAMucker and thefuhrer to the rescue. It took a Honda 300 with 25" Bugs and thefuhrer to get me out. We decided that looked fun so all of us would zoom closer and closer to the middle, but no one reached it. After getting all of our Honda packed with mud, we called it quits. RunAMucker had so much mud packed in his that it took two guys with hoses and about 30 minutes to wash it off, and we still didn't get all of it off.
